Job Description Loblaw Companies Limited is now accepting resumes for Offshore Transportation Specialists
(2 positions). We are looking for an energetic, motivated individual who wants to work in a fast-paced environment!
Working under the direction of the Senior Manager Transportation incumbent will be responsible for the following tasks:
Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for reporting key metrics and developing strategies to increase performance levels
• Responsible for sourcing carriers and tracking loads
• Responsible for paying invoices
• Liaising with Distribution facilities
• Follow the Company’s Accident Investigation procedure to review/analyze the root cause of
accidents
• Ensure compliance with Loss Prevention practices and guidelines
• Responsible for monitoring the transportation and movement of goods to Distribution facilities
• Works with customers and suppliers to ensure issues are dealt with
• Completion of Fish Import Notifications for CFIA
• Keep and update accruals for P&L purposes
• Ensures project budget and operational goals are met
• Any other duties as required
Job Qualifications Requirements:
• Previous experience in logistics would be an asset
• Solid teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate others
• Strong organizational, communication and problem solving skills
• Fluent in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Knowledge in Warehouse and Transportation Management Systems would be an asset
• Demonstrates continuous improvement performance and mindset
