Virtual Exhibition Centre
An on-line business/recruitment solution across Canada.
The Virtual Exhibition Centre was launched today and is considered the latest innovation for employer/employee recruitment technology. Available on-line only, it is the creation of the Community Outreach Program, a local not for profit that helps link companies with potential employers. Participating companies can now use virtual "office" space to conduct interviews, and host virtual sessions for skilled candidates, many of whom are from outside Canada.
Four new Exhibition Halls are being added to the Centre: Business/Franchise, Education, Health and Diversity. The Government Information and Career Centre launch today. Exhibitors (Companies) rent virtual space and have a variety of tools to promote themselves such as video branding, video streaming, web presentations and on-line tradeshows. International business can now be conducted without leaving the country.
Visitors, potential employees or students can log on to the site for free, and obtain information from each Exhibitor (Company) by going to a specified desk, placard or video clip. Not only can job seekers upload their video resume, chat on line live with a potential employers, they can even attend job seminars on line. And the system is open to students allowing for virtual tours of potential universities.
Health care providers are also able to promote their products and services on line. This innovative system is powered by Macromedia Shockwave player, a system that is already in use in by well over 390 million users worldwide.
Virtual space rentals for Exhibitors/Employers are at subsidized rates.
