    Department Overview:
    The Implementation Services Business Application Services team is responsible for applications that are logically grouped in alignment with Business Units and corresponding project workload and change requests. The Business Application Services team is a group situated in the critical path of application changes and our primary accountabilities consist of Production Acceptance Testing and deployment of changes to the Production environment. The majority of the application changes that are managed by the Business Application Services CTS team are large business-sponsored projects and change requests for applications aligned with the Corporate line of business or major infrastructure changes.

    Job Description:
    Involvement in meetings and requirement review sessions to provide key operational perspectives during the planning phase of projects.
    Working with project managers, development teams and business users to define and document non-functional testing requirements that need to be covered during Production Acceptance Testing.
    Performing the application code install in the Production Acceptance Testing environment and executing non-functional testing, this primarily includes operability testing and negative testing.
    Supporting performance and load testing within the PAT environment.
    Ensuring adequate test coverage through the use of manual and automated test scripts.
    Tracking and reporting on defects and corresponding changes to application code that are required during PAT.
    Scheduling change records and deploying application changes to Production.
    Preparing and providing a handover session to Infrastructure Technology Solutions teams that will be accountable for application support, once changes are promoted to Production.

    Education/Accreditations:
    Post-secondary degree / diploma in Information Technology Systems or equivalent work experience

    The successful candidate must possess the following:
    Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, due to extensive interaction with various technology groups and business users.
    The individual should be highly organized, self-motivated and focused on contributing towards the achievement of key ETS Strategic Objectives.
    Demonstrate good project delivery skills, with a strong commitment to working collaboratively within a dynamic team environment to achieve project deliverables and timelines.
    Understand business requirements as they relate to operational aspects of application changes and processes.
    Ability to work well both independently and also within the framework of a team.
    Ability to multitask and effectively prioritize workload
    Sound working knowledge of UNIX (Solaris and AIX) and Wintel operating systems
    Sound working knowledge of Websphere 5 and 6
    An understanding of Software Deployment Life Cycle (SDLC) and Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC) methodologies would be an asset
    Good conceptual understanding of Operating System and application monitoring tools such as Tivoli and MOM
    Working knowledge of defect tracking and test automation software such as Quality Center would be an asset
