    Department Overview:
    The primary goal of the Simplify IT program is to enable a reduction of our operational footprint; consolidate and standardize our core technology platform; and automate repetitive architectural and engineering processes. The strategy will be implemented in 3 phases with the first being Application rationalization, the second being Technology rationalization and the third being Process and Tool rationalization. The objective of this project will be to have fewer applications; more efficient platforms/environments; and processes that are streamlined, automated and secure, resulting in a technology solutions environment that is agile, scalable and sustainable.

    This Senior Project Manager role will report to the Head of Enterprise Delivery Services and will develop strong and positive working relationships within Technology Services and the businesses we support. The candidate is required to work in an extremely fast-paced environment and must be able to manage multiple phases of this strategy to end state.

    Job Description:
    The position requires a self-starter with strong leadership qualities and relationship management skills, and proven experience, delivering complex technology projects. The role is required to:

    Accountable to provide leadership and direction on implementing the above strategy from a Project Management aspect
    Manage multiple project resources from cross-functional teams, as well as interfacing with project leaders, technology specialists, professional staff, vendors and consultants.
    Negotiates and issues project documentation as agreed to by the Project Sponsor and involved Stakeholders
    Demonstrate strong communications skills (written and verbal), proven ability to effectively interact with individuals across business units and at various levels within the Bank (technical, business, including Senior and Executive Management).
    Identify all project dependencies and risks, ensuring that they are effectively managed
    Ensure mitigation/contingency plans are in place for identified risks.
    Track deliverables against the approved project plan, working with Technology partners to develop the content of those deliverables
    Controls change to project scope through accepted change management processes and documentation
    Provide project reporting and ad-hoc analysis, and present project status and issues requiring attention by senior management.
    Manages communication to key stakeholders and ensures they are aware of significant changes to the project status in a timely manner.
    Build consensus and relationships with all stakeholders through use of superior negotiation skills.
    Effectively manages project resources and external contractors/consultants in coordination of competing priorities

    Job Requirements:
    Education/Accreditations:
    College / University or equivalent work experience.
    Project Management Professional (PMP) is preferred

    Other Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
    A strong understanding of TD Bank and specifically an in-depth understanding of the Technology Services organization
    A thorough knowledge of TDBFG Project Management methodologies (e.g. PMLC, SDLC, GO!), and ensuring that recognized processes, discipline and controls are applied where required.
    8 years project management experience, with at least 3-5 years managing Technology projects
    Experience managing large programs would be an asset
    Proficiency with MS Office PC software applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Project, Visio)
    People management experience would be an asset
    Proven relationship management skills required
