Responsibilities:
• Inputs data and runs processing activities on regular payroll cycle
• Meets payroll processing deadlines by ensuring that internal processes are effective and efficient
• Ensures that all payroll processing transactions are accurate and are consistent with Company guidelines and legislative requirements
• Identifies errors and provides solutions/recommendations as required
• Liaises with third party payroll vendor(s) regarding payroll and reporting delivery, and reviews performance and services as required
• Continually reviews payroll systems for efficiency and accuracy, and recommends system improvements
• Provides training and direction to other Payroll personnel
• Completes project work as assigned
• Provides routine workforce reports, and develops solutions for new reporting requirements
• Works closely with other departments as required to provide payroll and related services that best meet the needs of the Stream-Flo Group workforce
• Maintains a service oriented approach to working with management, colleagues and when responding to employee inquiries and concerns

Qualifications:
• High school diploma - additional formal education and formal payroll training is an asset
• 5 years payroll administration experience
• Strong working knowledge of standard payroll concepts, practices and procedures
• Familiarity with both hourly and salaried payroll, as well as third party payroll processing
• Excellent attention to detail & accuracy
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Good judgment and decision making skills
• Self motivated and able to work under general supervision
• Customer focused
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications-Word, Excel, Outlook and payroll software
