Canwest News Service has a full-time opening for a journalist based in the Atlantic region to cover breaking news in those provinces.

We’re looking for an energetic reporter who understands the needs of a national wire service and its clients, including the minute-by-minute demands of our network of web sites.

Candidates should be prepared to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as required.

Experience working in an urgent, spontaneous news environment is essential, as is the ability to shift quickly between assignments. The successful candidate will be someone who can work independently and has the ability to pursue news and features through enterprise. Five years daily reporting is required.
