The award-winning Lloydminster Source is looking for someone to fill the role of reporter/photographer in our busy four person newsroom immediately. Our twice-weekly publication is looking for someone capable of writing 10 to 12 strong stories per week – both feature and hard news, taking quality photographs and laying out pages for each issue.

The successful applicant will cover a number of local topics in the Border City, which is home to a busy political beat – which features two provincial governments – non-stop major events, a thriving arts scene and the bustling agriculture industry. Contributions for a monthly oil and gas industry magazine are also required.

Qualifications:

•  Graduation from a journalism diploma program or relevant working experience.
•  Ability to report on hard news as well as develop feature articles.
•  Solid photography skills.
•  Ability to edit copy and layout pages using InDesign.
•  A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
